Service Description

**Unless specified 1-2-1 all other classes are a small class of 2 students** The Phlebotomy and PRP course starts by teaching you Phlebotomy: which is the process of making a puncture in a vein with a venepuncture: for the purpose of taking blood. It then follows on with PRP: which is known as Platelet Rich Plasma. During this course you will learn how to effectively extract blood through venus access (Phlebotomy) and then how to effectively separate the blood cells from the platelets using a medical centrifuge. Then you will learn how to administer harvested platelets back into the skin using Dermaroller and Nappage Mesotherapy techniques.​ Course Content Whats is PRP and Why use PRP? The history of plasma rich protein and its use in medicine. Pharmacology and Toxicology Anatomy and physiology Patient management – expectations Obtaining valid consent Achieving safe and predictable outcomes Complication management Extraction, preparation and sosage Management Injection techniques – face and neck How to maintain predictable outcomes Hands on practical session Course Pre-Requisite This course is not suitable for anyone who has a serious needle phobia. Students will be taking bloods from each other.
